  1. I quite like it, but I suppose that could be because it was my idea and I’m not being objective about it.

I do wonder if the right-hand side is a bit empty, making the woman look just a little bit close to the edge of the page. Perhaps you could balance her with something on the right-hand side of the page. Given that you’ve cleverly arranged the “Pride & Prejudice” to look a bit like a set of scales, or a see-saw, and pride comes before a fall, how about putting in a heart or something, descending towards the other end of the “Pride” so that she’s about to be toppled off her seat?

Like I said, I evidently invent little stories to go with cover pictures. Whether they’re any help in cover design, I leave it to you to decide! ;-)

  2. really like this one

  3. I like this one, too.

  4. Em likes it, so she’s opting for it. Thanks, Laura! Your other suggestions – she wants to chuck a tagline in the empty area, so it’ll be left blank for now. Next month, I’ll have to re-do it from scratch, with more precise positions and blah blah.

    Talthor and Megan, thanks. :)

  5. I’m glad the empty area will be filled with something. It’ll help balance things out a bit, I think.

Will you let us help with some more of the covers? It’s been fun offering opinions on this one. I’ve never been part of a focus group before ;-)

  6. If Em is still OK with it, it would be fantastic to have the feedback. Thanks. :D
